Description

Plot Summary

Freedom Warriors "is a four episode, six and a half hour film directed by Ozlov in 1977, which can be seen as a supplement to his previously well-known work" Liberation "in terms of details. The film mainly tells the whole process of resistance movements carried out by Eastern European countries in the late stage of World War II. In particular, the film focuses on depicting the process of resistance movements in countries such as Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. In addition to images such as Stalin, Zhukov, and Hitler that are often seen in war movies, the film also extensively depicts the scenes of former leaders of socialist countries in Eastern Europe, such as Dimitrov and Tito, leading their armies to attack German aggressors. The film "Freedom Warriors" is adapted from the real events of Communist Party members leading the people to resist fascism in Eastern European countries during World War II. The director used a combination of romanticism and realism to compose a magnificent lament during World War II. The use of all elements in the film makes it highly artistic and infectious. The film received high praise upon its release. Although it did not receive any major awards, it was one of the most sensational films in the film industry at that time. On June 31, 1944, the Soviet Union decided to launch the Liberation of the Balkans campaign, and the decisive moment of action finally arrived. However, there were also some factors that influenced the success or failure of this war. Due to the victory of the Soviet Union in the war, the anti fascist wars in Eastern European countries have reached a white hot level and can be said to be intensifying. On the Warsaw Berlin front line, the Soviet front has been stretched too long, and there is a great danger for the troops to continue westward. The biggest danger on the left-wing battlefield is the German Army Group in South Ukraine, and this region holds significant political and military importance. To destroy it and liberate the people of Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union faced a great challenge. On the morning of September 8, 1944, the Soviet army entered Bulgaria without deploying a single soldier. During these thirty-six hours, Bulgaria and the Soviet Union were on the brink of war, and the entire Bulgaria welcomed its liberators.
