Description

Plot Summary

An Xi Zongichiro (played by Akira Hashimoto), an art professor who teaches at a certain university, is getting older and feels physically exhausted. He sighed at his wife Yuzo's (played by Kawashima Nami) beautiful appearance, but was also dissatisfied with the dull and boring sex life and his own weakness. The couple accidentally met the young and stylish photographer Kenichi Kimura (played by Kazuo Ohsawa). The brief conversation between his wife and Kimura made Anxi feel a little jealous, which also gave him the illusion of rejuvenating his youth. From then on, Anxi began a dangerous attempt, deliberately inviting Kimura to his home as a guest and trying to feel strong jealousy from his wife's ambiguous relationship with Kimura. At the same time, he wrote his true thoughts in a private diary and deliberately let Yuzi see them. The faint longing for Kimura made Yuzu feel a pleasure she had never experienced before from her husband. The couple went further and further apart for ultimate happiness... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Japanese sensory writer Junichiro Tanizaki.
