Description

Plot Summary

This drama is adapted from Jin Yong's martial arts novel "Flying Fox on the Snow Mountain". After Li Zicheng's downfall, his four major guards - Hu, Miao, Fan, and Tian - began a struggle to seize the treasure, which later evolved into a generational feud among the four families. Hu Yidao (played by Huang Rihua), a descendant of the Hu family, wanted to find peace with the other three families to resolve the previous misunderstanding. However, due to the secret plot of Tian Guinong (played by Zhang Zhaohui), a descendant of the Tian family, he was mistakenly killed by Miao Renfeng (played by Yin Yangming), a descendant of the Miao family. His wife Lang Jianqiu (played by Shao Meiqi) was also not spared from the disaster. Jianqiu entrusted his only son Hu Fei (played by Chen Jinhong) to the care of his servant Pingsi (played by Liao Qizhi). As he grew up, Hu Fei was determined to avenge his parents and misunderstood that Miao Renfeng was the culprit. When Ping Si led Hu Fei all the way to track down Miao Renfeng's whereabouts, he met Yao Yiyi (played by Liu Xiaotong) disguised as a man and met the chivalrous woman Nie Sangqing (played by Teng Liming), but she felt a sense of belonging to Chen Jialuo (played by Wei Junjie), the leader of the Red Flower Society. Later, Hu Fei met and became acquainted with Miao Ruolan (played by Charmaine Sheh), the daughter of Miao Renfeng. However, unfortunately, the world of rivers and lakes is dangerous, and several young people carry the grudges of their predecessors and are deeply involved in it themselves. Unlike other adaptations of "Snow Mountain Flying Fox", this drama does not involve much of the content of "Flying Fox Wai Zhuan", and even does not feature characters from classic books such as Cheng Lingsu and Yuan Ziyi.
