Plot Summary

IM Street (played by Colin Farrell) is a member of S.W.A.T (Anti Terrorism Special Forces Unit) in Los Angeles. During a hostage rescue mission with his partner Brian Gamble (played by Jeremy Renner), due to Brian's mistake, the hostages demand compensation from the government. In a fit of anger, Brian leaves the police force, and Jim is transferred to another department, ending their friendship. Two years have passed, and Jim has finally returned to S.W.A.T through his relentless efforts. At this time, S.W.A.T was commanded by Sgt. Dan Hondo Harrelson (played by Samuel L. Jackson), with five team members, and broke the rule of no women, resulting in S.W.A.T.'s first female team member - a single mother named Chris Sanchez (played by Michelle Rodriguez). Under Harrelson's guidance, after several weeks of rigorous training, Jim and his teammates began their first mission: guarding the notorious drug lord Alex Montel (played by Olivier Martinez) - a criminal who engages in criminal activities such as drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and money laundering. After being arrested by Los Angeles police, Alex Montel still plans to escape the law before extradition. He promised through the media that anyone who can rescue him will receive a huge bounty of $100 million. In order to obtain this money, the fugitives launched an operation, including Jim's old partner Brian Gamble, and S.W.A.T's team members facing the most difficult challenges. At a critical moment, the team members' defection and the lack of trust from their superiors almost pushed them into a desperate situation.
