Plot Summary

In the 18th century, Jean Baptiste Grenouille (played by Ben Whishaw) was born in the dirtiest and most foul smelling place in Paris - the fish market. Grenoye was born with an astonishing talent for odors: he remembers them one by one, whether they are foul or fragrant, and can easily distinguish between various odors. When he was 13 years old at the orphanage, he was sold by the orphanage to a leatherworker. Grenoye lives a life worse than dogs and horses in the leather shop. Coincidentally, Grenouille showed her extraordinary talent in front of perfume Baldini and entered the perfume shop. But Grenouille is not only satisfied with making the most fragrant perfume in the world, he dreams of learning how to preserve the smell of everything.
