Plot Summary

In 1944, World War II was in full swing, and the situation was turbulent and unpredictable. Nazi Germany launched a full-scale attack, but with the joint counterattack of the Allied forces, the German offensive was at its end. At this moment, some senior officers of the German army realized that the balance of war had tilted, and Hitler's (David Bamber) war strategy would lead Germany towards destruction. More and more military officers believe that only by eliminating Hitler and his supporters, launching a coup to seize power, and reaching an agreement with the Allies through peace talks, can Germany ultimately be saved. Under the influence of such ideas, a plan called "Valkyrie" emerged. Throughout the entire plan, Army Colonel Klaus von Stauffenberg (played by Tom Cruise) played an important role. Stauffenberg, who came from a noble background, was once enamored with Hitler and his Nazi program. In 1943, he led an armored division to the battlefield in Tunis, North Africa, where he lost his right arm, two fingers on his left hand, and right eye. The cruelty of the war caused a huge change in his thinking.
