Description

Plot Summary

The film tells the story of a father and son who are in a hostile relationship. Both father and son work at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. They are experts in Jewish law and both have unique personalities and quirks. Due to significant differences in the treatment of honor and academic issues between father and son, a conflict that has long transcended the father son relationship has arisen between these two scholars. My son is a contemporary scholar who likes to pursue fame and fortune, while his father is a very serious and conservative classical scholar. Underneath his father's imposing appearance, he is actually a person who desires recognition and approval. The conflict between father and son has never been made public or expanded. However, when the Israeli National Award was about to be presented - the highest award for scholars in Israel - the conflict between father and son finally erupted, a distressing and fruitless confrontation.
