Description
Plot Summary
The US presidential election has entered a white hot stage, with the two candidates tied in the previous vote count. There is still a week left until the primary election in Ohio, and both of them regard this state as a decisive battleground and have begun to fight openly and secretly. Stephen (played by Ryan Gosling), the second in command of one of the candidates, Morris (played by George Clooney), is young and promising. At this time, he is poached by Tom Duffy (played by Paul Giamatti), the leader of another candidate's campaign team. However, Stephen remains loyal to Morris and remains unmoved. On the other hand, Stephen was deeply attracted to the new intern Molly (played by Evan Rachel Wood), and the two quickly became passionate. Unexpectedly, The Times reporter Ada (played by Marisa Tomei) learned of Stephen's meeting with Tom and used it to blackmail Stephen into revealing insider information about the election.
