Plot Summary

Nick Flynn (played by Paul Dano) is a young writer who has relied on his single mother Judy (played by Julianne Moore) since childhood. He had long forgotten what his father looked like until one day he received a phone call from Jonathan (played by Robert De Niro), who claimed to be his father, and was kicked out by his landlord to borrow a car to move. A dad fell from the sky, who was also a down and out writer, and brought all his luggage, making Flynn very embarrassed in front of his roommates.
