Plot Summary

This is a rare series that blends "crime investigation drama" with "fashion soap opera". The story follows Vivian Lawson, the heiress of the Lawson family, who is murdered. Her best friend, young female detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan Good), disguises herself and infiltrates the family under the command of her ex lover Will Sacovitch detective (Laz Alonso) to investigate the truth behind the incident. Interestingly, Joanna grew up in this family - she is the daughter of a maid. Victor Garber plays Robert Lawson, the "boss" of the Lawson family and the CEO of the family business, Lawson Pharmaceuticals. He is wealthy and unparalleled in wealth, owning an imposing mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut. Robert has a total of four children, married two wives, and had a mistress. He demands unconditional obedience from his family, friends, servants, and all those within his circle of life. Katherine LaNasa plays Robert's second wife Sofia, who is beautiful but sharp tongued.
