Description
Plot Summary
On a cold night with heavy snowfall, scholar Seligman (played by Stellan Skarsgrd) meets a woman named Joey (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) lying in the snow with bruises all over her body. The kind-hearted Seligman takes Joey home for treatment, but unexpectedly, a story full of twisted desires awaits him. The film slowly unfolds as Joey's story unfolds. At a very young age, Joey (played by Stacy Martin) discovers that she has an extraordinary surge of sexual desire. Her youthful ignorance and naivety make Joey accept her uniqueness. As she grows older, she begins to boldly and freely wander in the sea of desire, even founding a club with friends specifically for "female addicts". Joey's first man is named Jerome (Shia LaBeouf). When Joey meets Jerome again as an adult, she discovers that she has fallen deeply in love with her. Sadly, Joey realizes that only Jerome's caresses cannot ignite her passion. Between sex and love, Joey is deeply lost.
