Description
Plot Summary
In Beijing dialect, 'laopao er' specifically refers to an idle old scoundrel who carries a cage and walks birds. Liu Ye (played by Feng Xiaogang) used to be one of the old guys who rampaged through old Beijing. Now he lives a leisurely life, but he doesn't want his son Xiaobo (played by Li Yifeng) to be involved in a dispute with "Xiao Ye" Xiaofei (played by Wu Yifan). Liu Ye attempted to resolve the dispute and sought the help of his old friends Meng San'er (played by Zhang Hanyu), Hua Xia Zi (played by Xu Qing), and Jiao Deng Er (played by Liu Hua). However, he discovered that a new group of "talkers" had emerged in this era, and his status as a stubborn leader in the martial arts world had been shaken. The lifestyle he had previously adhered to had gradually been abandoned by the times. Can Lian Po still afford to eat when he is old?
