Description

Plot Summary

Shu Qi, Zhang Zhen, his wife and husband, Mu Cong, and Ruan Jingtian starred in the film, which was released in Chinese Mainland on August 27, 2015. After the Palmed'Or (nominated) Golden Horse Award for Best Feature Film (nominated) Lonely Tianbao, the magnificent Tang Dynasty came to an end, and the authority and centripetal force of the court were further weakened. At this time, there were numerous fiefdoms and factions, and under the chaos of fragmentation, the Li Empire barely maintained its fragile peace and prestige. Weibo Town, one of the three towns in Hebei Province, has a stubborn and violent military governor named Tian Ji'an (played by Zhang Zhen) who is ambitious and moves in response to the situation. The imperial court dispatched divine troops to suppress Wang Chengzong, but the Lord and Lord of Wei held their own opinions, leading to continuous disputes. At the same time, Tian Ji'an's cousin Nie Yinniang (played by Shu Qi), who was brought to the mountain by Princess Daogu to practice swordsmanship since childhood, returned from her master. She obediently followed her master's teachings and adhered to the concept of killing one person to save ten thousand people. She successively wielded the weapons of several high-ranking officials, and this time she targeted Tian Ji'an for sniping. Swordsmanship has been achieved, but Dao Xin is not yet firm. The heroine Nie Yinniang is as agile as a monkey, hiding in the world... This film is adapted from the legendary novel "Nie Yinniang" by Tang Dynasty poet Pei Xing and won the Best Director Award in the competition section of the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
