Description
Plot Summary
Adapted from Takazo Saki's Ito Prize winning novel "Identity Account", based on real characters and starring the famous Japanese actor Hiroshi Watanabe, the story tells of a former gangster who was sentenced to prison for murder. After serving 13 years in prison, he is released and returns to society, vowing to work hard to integrate into a new life. However, when he is thrown into this unfamiliar and beautiful new world, his deeply rooted gangster thinking and lack of grammar for the orderly social system make his life even more out of place... The new work, directed by Miwa Nishikawa, who studied under Hirokazu Ueda, examines the pain and hope of individuals with human care, depicting the meticulous life murals of contemporary Japanese society.
