Plot Summary

Anna (Lea Massari) angrily drives with her girlfriend Claudia (Monica Vitti) to find her boyfriend Sandro (Gabriele Ferzetti) after an unpleasant conversation with her diplomat father. Anna hesitated and entered her boyfriend's apartment, leaving Claudia waiting outside alone. Although Anna is discussing marriage with Sandro, they have long been apart in appearance. As they set sail on a yacht with a group of friends, the conflict between the two became increasingly acute. Everyone came to a deserted island to rest. Anna and Sandro had a falling out and parted ways unhappily. Just as everyone was preparing to return, they found Anna mysteriously missing. Everyone searched the entire island, but there was no trace of Anna. In the process of searching for Anna, Claudia and Sandro became ambiguous with each other. Although Claudia tried to restrain her excitement, she fell in love with Sandro's passionate pursuit. Claudia, feeling guilty, has been unable to shake off Anna's shadow and cannot focus on being with Sandro.
