Plot Summary

Dell (played by Seth Rogen) has a job that he and others find boring - a subpoena deliveryman, and his high school girlfriend Angie's handsome male classmates constantly make Dell feel uneasy. Therefore, smoking marijuana has become his best support and even his faith. Dell regularly buys marijuana at the home of the delinquent Saul (played by James Franco), whom Saul sees as a friend and promotes to him the best marijuana "Pineapple Express," but Dell only sees him as a more failed and lonely person than himself. That night, Dell accidentally stumbled upon a local drug dealer named Red and a female police officer working together to kill someone. Desperate to escape, Dell left behind the rare marijuana, Pineapple Express, at the scene. Worried that Red would kill them, Dell and Saul had to choose to flee. However, their cautious and clumsy concealment only involved more people in the storm, while the two individuals with an avoidant personality gradually learned to face their weaknesses in this incident...
