Description

Plot Summary

60 year old Tachibana Minamoto and 28 year old photographer Kyoji Inoda traveled thousands of miles across mountains and rivers to visit the reclusive actress Chiyoko Fujiwara, who had lived in seclusion for thirty years, in order to film a documentary about her lifelong autobiography. Although Chiyoko is already 75 years old, she is still elegant and beautiful, and the iconic small mole under her left eye is still playful. Tachibana handed over a key with both hands, and Chiyoko was deeply shocked, saying that this key was the key to unlocking a secret. She accidentally lost it back then, but today she can still retrieve it from her hands. Chiyoko's thoughts flew far away. On September 1, 1926, Chiyoko Fujiwara was born, and at the age of 16, she was discovered by a talent scout. However, it was not until she met a painter who saved her from chaos and hid her in his own warehouse that he gave her a key, saying it was the key to unlocking the secret. He promised to take her to see the snow in Hokkaido when they reunited again. However, the next day when Chiyoko returned home from school, the painter had already fled due to evading pursuit. Chiyoko entered the film industry from then on because the painter eventually said he would go to Manchuria to fight, and the first film promised to go to Manchuria for filming. From then on, Chiyoko's screen career began, filming love stories representing four different periods in Japan: the Warring States period, the shogunate, Taisho, and Showa. In every story, Chiyoko is running, pursuing her true love. The scene blends seamlessly with her own story, making it difficult to distinguish between reality and fiction. Tachibana and Inoda followed closely behind, sometimes becoming characters in the story. In an earthquake, Chiyoko lost her keys and, feeling disheartened, married director Otsutake, who had been pursuing her all along. However, later on, she discovered that everything was a carefully crafted scam, and Chiyoko realized the truth and decided to continue searching for her childhood love.
