Description

Plot Summary

Kenneth Clark was an internationally renowned master of art history in the 20th century. Born in London, England in 1903. Received education at Winchester College and Trinity College, Oxford University, specializing in art history. Afterwards, he became an authority on Renaissance art history. He has served as the director of the National Gallery of London, the first chairman of the Independent Television Authority in the UK, the chairman of the Arts Council in the UK, and has also been a professor of art history at Oxford University. He has written extensively, including books such as "Da Vinci," "Landscape in Art," "Naked Art," "Rembrandt and the Italian Renaissance," and "Footprints of Civilization." Among them, "Naked Art" was derived from the content he taught in the "Mellon Lecture Series" at the National Gallery of Art in Washington in 1953. He is committed to promoting the popularization of art appreciation. In addition to writing popular art books, he also produces the Western art history series "Civilization" on British public television. This TV series premiered in 1969 and has since been broadcasted in 23 countries, gaining worldwide popularity.
