Plot Summary

In 1973, humans unexpectedly discovered that bacteria living in symbiosis with pipe worms were thriving near deep-sea hot springs with no sunlight, some of which were the oldest species we know to date, indicating that this may be the place where life originated in ancient times. The content of this film will be led by two submarines, the Sea Monster and the Hydra, to venture deep into isolated underwater places and explore the origins of ancient life. Firstly, the submarine will lead us to dive 600 meters deep into the sea, entering a world forever in darkness, tracking and observing the largest carnivorous animal on Earth, the sperm whale, and chasing the largest invertebrate king squid, among other rare and exciting hunting processes. Next, the submarine will lead us to dive to a depth of over 1500 meters, where the water temperature is close to freezing and the pressure on the submarine surface exceeds 218 kilograms per square centimeter.
