Plot Summary
The film is adapted from the bestselling novel by female author Angela Maestreta, and tells the personal fate of a Mexican woman from a female perspective. The series of events that happen to her also reveal the trajectory of the development of Mexican society as a whole. Director Roberto Schneider had only directed one film before - "Two Criminals" in 1995. However, the film received critical acclaim upon its debut and won the Best Debut Film Award at the El Rayal Film Awards in Mexico. As a screenwriter, he was also nominated for the Best Screenplay and Director awards at the same award. Tearing apart my life "is Roberto Schneider's first feature film in 13 years of working as a behind the scenes producer, and it has been very successful.
