Plot Summary

Adapted from the bestselling vampire novel 'Southern Vampire'. The era when people were afraid of vampires has passed, and now they have become vampires afraid of humans. On Bon Temps, a small town in Louisiana, TV talk shows discuss daily whether or not to pass the legal rights of vampires, with both supporters and opponents having equally intense attitudes. Vampires no longer need to survive by sucking human or animal blood, but instead purchase true blood produced by the Japanese. Our female protagonist Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin) is an ordinary waitress in a small town. What sets her apart is her ability to hear people's innermost thoughts. This special ability not only troubles her, but also causes her to experience multiple failed romantic relationships. When she meets Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer), she is pleasantly surprised to find that she cannot hear the other person's inner voice!
