Plot Summary

The solar activity is abnormal, and the energy balance system inside the Earth is facing collapse. The Mayan prophecy is about to come true, and humanity will face a catastrophic disaster. Governments of various countries have joined forces to secretly manufacture an ark, hoping to avoid this catastrophe. Jackson (played by John Cusack), who makes a living by writing science fiction novels, experiences a series of strange events while taking his children to Yellowstone National Park for the weekend. He also meets the neurotic Charlie (played by Woody Harrelson), who tells him that the end of the world is coming. Accompanied by volcanic eruptions, strong earthquakes, and tsunamis, Jackson led his family to fly a temporarily rented plane out of the city's sky instantly shrouded in the shadow of death, and began to search for the ark that Charlie claimed various governments were secretly building together. In moments of life and death, some great ghosts will stand out, while some selfish hearts will have nowhere to hide. When thousands of creatures come to the ark manufacturing base through various methods, the limited capacity of the ark triggers unprecedented panic. In the end, the remaining people overcame the difficulties with mutual love and respect for life.
