Plot Summary

Yuda is an experienced member of Silat Harima (whose emblem is a tiger head), residing in a small village called Minangkabau on the west side of the Sumatra Islands in Indonesia. Recently, he has been making final preparations for Merantau's ceremony. This ceremony has been performed in this small village for over a hundred years. After becoming Merantau, Yuda will leave his rural home and pastoral life. He will come to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and strive to make his own world in this bustling but dirty big city. After a series of setbacks and obstacles, homeless Yuda felt defeated and lost, and extremely uncertain about her future. One day, Yuda got into a fight with a group of European criminals to protect an orphan named Astri, and was subsequently pursued by them in retaliation. Yuda had to flee with Astri and her young brother. Along the way, they not only had to avoid the group of European criminals, but also had to deal with various scheming pimps, hidden gentlemen, and small thugs. Obviously, this is a power struggle with great disparity, but Yuda has no choice but to choose to fight.
