Description
Plot Summary
An unexpected miscarriage has left John (played by Peter Sarsgaard) and Kate (played by Vera Farmiga), who were eagerly anticipating the birth of their baby, deeply affected. Kate's mental state is on the brink of collapse, and their marriage is also in jeopardy. In order to save their struggling marriage, the couple went to an orphanage hoping to adopt a child. Here, they met a somewhat independent little girl named Esther (played by Isabelle Fuhrman). The unique temperament emanating from the little girl attracted the John couple, and eventually Esther became a member of their family. However, with the arrival of Esther, various bizarre events followed one after another. Kate vaguely felt that there was an unknown side behind this little girl with an angelic face
