Description
Plot Summary
Uncle Bumi (played by Thanapat Saisaymar) suffered from acute kidney failure, so he returned to the countryside, recuperating and waiting for the arrival of death. In the countryside, he quietly eats, cools off, and watches his family work every day. On a cool summer night, Uncle Bumi, his nephew, and his sister-in-law are eating and chatting in the yard. Uncle Bumi's wife, who has been dead for a long time, unexpectedly appears and tells them about her recent situation and years of longing. Later, Uncle Bumi's long lost son also appears, turning into a red eyed black orangutan, but no one is frightened. A few people separated by yin and yang calmly chatted about their daily lives, enjoying the peaceful orchard, gentle breeze, and bees working peacefully every day. Everything that happened was so natural, every scenery was already there, and every story was like a dream... This film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
