Description
Plot Summary
The film is adapted from George Moore's short story "The Strange Life of Albert Nobles". Albert Nobbs (played by Glenn Close) works at a hotel that specializes in providing a place for upper class people to have fun. He is naturally shy and cautious in his work, and is highly appreciated by customers and bosses, while also keeping his biggest secret - that 'he' is actually a woman. He is busy but enjoys it, even secretly accumulating a large sum of money, but without a life goal. Until Hubert Page (played by Janet McTeer), a painter disguised as a man, arrived at the hotel, Albert's heart had hope for the first time. He was determined to step out of his lonely world and find his life partner. So he chose the most beautiful maid in the hotel, Helen (played by Mia Wasikowska), but Helen was concerned about the new handyman. Can Albert achieve his life goals?
