Description

Plot Summary

Twenty years ago, the powerful Roman Empire sent out the Roman Ninth Army, consisting of 5000 elite soldiers, but mysteriously disappeared from the Scottish Highlands. Marcus (Channing Tatum), the son of the leader of the Ninth Legion, is brave and skilled in battle, leading troops to fight on the front lines. Because he was seriously injured in a war, he had to recuperate at his uncle's house. During his recovery period, Marcus saved a slave named Esco (Jamie Bell) in the arena and took him as a servant. Not long after, Marcus heard that someone from a northern tribe had discovered his father's lost eagle staff. Determined to win back his father's honor, he decided to travel to the north to retrieve the eagle staff. Marcus set off with Esco, who was familiar with the northern environment. The relationship between the master and servant experienced various ups and downs and mutual tests during the journey. Especially when they encounter the fierce Prince Cyr (played by Tahar Rahim), Marcus discovers that Esco's identity is far more than just an ordinary slave. Who controls the Eagle Staff and how was the Ninth Legion destroyed back then? The truth is becoming increasingly perplexing
