Description

Plot Summary

In the chaotic and tense era of North Korea, the king of Korea, Gwanghae (played by Lee Byung hun), who held the highest power, could not escape the crisis of factional struggles and being "poisoned" by others who coveted his power. With deep thoughts, Guanghai and his chief of staff, Xu Jun (played by Liu Chenglong), found a civilian in the public who was extremely similar to Guanghai himself - Xia Shanlai - as his substitute to block crises from all directions for him. Xia Shan, who had a personality completely opposite to that of Guanghai, was a simple minded ordinary citizen. Being pushed to the forefront, he had to imitate Guanghai's appearance as his puppet. The stark contrast caught the attention and confusion of the empress (played by Han Xiaozhu). As time passed, Guanghai and Xia Shan, two people who were both similar but completely different, embarked on their intertwined lives. After its release, this film won multiple awards.
