Description
Plot Summary
The story takes place in 1970s America, where Ruth (Rooney Mara) and her boyfriend Bob (Casey Affleck) have a very close relationship. Under the bright sunshine of Texas, just when both of them thought this happy life would last, misfortune strikes. In an accident, Ruth accidentally shot and killed a police officer, facing a severe trial. In order to protect his beloved woman, Bob willingly went to jail to replace Ruth's crime. Not long after, Ruth gave birth to a cute and beautiful baby girl, which brought new hope to Bob who was imprisoned. As time passed, Bob's longing for Ruth and his daughter grew stronger and stronger. Finally, a series of unexpected events made Ruth determined to escape from prison. However, at this moment, Bob did not know that everything in the world outside the bars had changed.
