Description

Plot Summary

The movie tells the legendary stories of two famous villains in modern Hong Kong history, the notorious drug lord Lame Hero (played by Donnie Yen) and the 500 million detective Lei Luo (played by Andy Lau). In the 1960s and 1970s, Hong Kong was colonized by Britain, with corrupt power and social chaos. In 1963, the impoverished young man Ah Hao (played by Donnie Yen) illegally immigrated to Hong Kong, determined to fight for his life with the heart of "life and death, wealth and fortune in heaven". Ah Hao, along with several brothers, started from the bottom of Kowloon Walled City, licking blood all the way, climbed to the position of Hong Kong's drug lord, and single handedly controlled the top ten gangs in Hong Kong. He is known as the "Lame Hao" in the martial arts world. Meanwhile, Lei Luo (played by Andy Lau) climbed step by step from an ordinary detective to the position of Chinese chief detective, commanding 30000 police officers across Hong Kong and holding the "unwritten rules" of Hong Kong's public security. In order to monopolize Hong Kong's three major economic industries of pornography, gambling, and drugs, Lame Hao and Lei Luo became sworn brothers, with one black and one white hand covering the sky. Their power was immense, their wealth was billions, and they monopolized Hong Kong Island
