Plot Summary

The story is adapted from the famous World War II military event, the Dunkirk evacuation. In the early stages of World War II, 400000 British and French Allied forces were besieged by enemy forces on the beaches of Dunkirk, facing a desperate situation as the enemy approached step by step. The situation was extremely critical. The British government and navy mobilized a large number of crew members to mobilize the people to rescue the military. British soldier Tommy (played by Fionn Whitehead) meets Gibson and Alex while escaping from the beach, while civilian ship owner Mr. Dawson (played by Mark Rylance) and his son Peter and 17-year-old George also leave England to go to Dunkirk to rescue soldiers. The three of them successively rescued the navy (played by Cillian Murphy), pilots Collins and Tommy, while fighter pilot Farrell (played by Tom Hardy) fought tenaciously in the difficult situation of being sandwiched on both sides by the enemy.
