Description
Plot Summary
The movie is adapted from a real event. War broke out in the Republic of Numia, and former resident diplomat Zong Dawei (played by Zhang Yi) and new member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cheng Lang (played by Wang Junkai) were ordered to assist in the evacuation of overseas Chinese. The mission ended smoothly, but it was revealed that there was still a group of trapped compatriots, led by Bai Zhen (played by Yin Tao), heading to the border evacuation point. In a moment of desperation, the two gave up the opportunity to return home and went against the tide into the war zone. How can an unarmed diplomat lead his fellow countrymen on a path back home, through war and desert, facing the gunfire of the rebel army
