Description
Plot Summary
This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by the contemporary French crime fiction master Pierre Lemaire, and belongs to the same series as the acclaimed film "Goodbye in the Sky" also adapted from the novel of the same name. The film tells the story of Madeline, the daughter of a banker in pre World War II France, who was framed and lost everything by her family and friends after her father's death. In the end, she fought back against the great hatred and was avenged. The film is performed by French national treasure level actress Fanny Ardern and Leia Deluge, who won the Caesar Award for Best Actress for her role in "Guardians of the Wind". It perfectly showcases the romantic French revenge story in the original work and reflects the personal and national destinies in the turbulent situation of the early 20th century. Nominated for Best Costume Design and Art Design at the 2023 Caesar Awards.
