Description

Plot Summary

In 1933, Japan sent troops to Manzhouli, broke away from the League of Nations, and suffered unprecedented isolation internationally; The domestic economy is declining and people are uneasy. At that time, the military was divided into two factions: the "Imperial Way" and the "Control". The Imperial Way faction believed that the Emperor had become a puppet of corrupt ministers, unaware of the suffering of the people and the safety of the country. Therefore, a group of young military officers gathered and put forward the slogan of "respecting the emperor and fighting against thieves", intending to overthrow the cabinet and establish a military government directly led by the emperor. In the 11th year of the Showa era (1936), a group of junior young army officers led by eight individuals, including Hidetoshi Ando (played by Tomohiro Miura), Kiyotaka Kato (played by Yoyo Katsuno), Shiro Nozhong (played by Kenichi Hagiwara), Shou Kawano (played by Masahiro Motoki), Kiaki Nakahashi (played by Shirou Sano), Asaichi Iwabe (played by Naoto Takenaka), and Takatsugu Muranaka (played by Takadaisuke Takahashi), decided to launch a military coup called the "Showa Restoration" on February 26th. In the early morning of that day, 1500 fully armed young soldiers braved the wind and snow to rush into the mansion of a political figure
