Description

Plot Summary

The film is adapted from the novel by John Le Carr é, the author of "Cookmaker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". The story takes place in contemporary Hamburg, Germany. A mysterious man came to the local Muslim community seeking help. This person has half Chechen and half Russian ancestry and suffered serious injuries. His purpose of coming here is to recover his father's huge illegal gains. Everyone around him expressed doubts about his identity. Is he a victim or a thief, or even worse, with extremely terrifying intentions? Also involved in this matter are a British banker and a young female lawyer. At the same time, a seasoned German spy was constantly monitoring them, trying to unravel what medicine was being sold in the mysterious man's gourd.
