Description
Plot Summary
The story takes place in the former Soviet Union during the Stalin era, and the male protagonist Leo Demidov is a special agent of the Soviet State Security Bureau (MGB). He is dedicated to his duties, loves his country, and is full of idealism. As a combat hero, Leo enjoys special treatment from the country. Not only does his family live in a luxury residential area in Moscow, but his parents have also been allocated a good apartment. Despite secret arrests and torture to extract confessions, Leo believed that it was all for the national interest. However, a series of child murders changed Leo's life trajectory.
