Plot Summary

The protagonist of the new CBS crime drama "Flashpoint" is a special forces unit belonging to the Toronto police force, the largest city in Canada. The unit is called the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). The character prototype of SRU comes from a real Emergency Task Force in Toronto. SRU members are not ordinary police officers, they have the ability to do things that ordinary police officers cannot do, including: "saving hostages, cracking down on gangs, dismantling bombs, operating cutting-edge weapons," and they will always risk their lives to save others' lives. They often resort to any means to solve problems and save lives in a very short period of time. To become a member of SRU, you must first have years of experience fighting criminals on the streets, as well as undergo intense physical training and training in marksmanship.
