Plot Summary

During the Soviet era, the female director of a statistical bureau in Moscow, Loddra Borokofievna Kalukina (played by Alisa Freyndlikh), had strong professional skills and focused on her career, while her personal life stood in stark contrast, with the flower of love yet to bloom. For this boss with a solemn and rigid expression, the staff secretly called him a 'cold-blooded animal'. An elderly looking statistician named Andriy Myagkov (played by Andrey Myagkov) was talented in his youth. Although he worked hard to raise his two children alone, he was optimistic and well liked by his colleagues. Regarding the 'cold-blooded animals', Novasherytsev considers himself aloof and unwilling to belittle himself and seek help from Kalukina.
