Description
Plot Summary
Benedict Cumberbatch will play the role of Greville Wynne, a British "spy" during the Cold War. He will star in the new film "Ironbark" invested by FilmNation, which is reportedly similar in style to Cumberbatch's "Cookmaker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy". Adapted from Wynne's true story: he is a British businessman who helped the CIA infiltrate the Soviet nuclear weapons program during the Cold War. He and his Soviet source Oleg Penkovsky provided key intelligence to end the Cuban Missile Crisis. The film will be directed by Dominic Cooke ("On Chessel Beach"), who has previously worked with Cumberbatch on the BBC series "The Empty Crown". The initial script was written by Tom O'Connor ("The Bodyguard").
