Description

Plot Summary

In the ninth year of the Eiroku era (1566), during the Warring States period in Japan, eight destitute samurai fled to a mountain village and returned to their fields, living a life of ordinary farmers. Soon after, the Maori clan traced the hidden warriors, and villager Zhuang Zuowemen (played by Hashimoto Takashi) designed to kill the warriors. Samurai put down the curse before they die, and those who frame them will die tragically. Afterwards, the curse was fulfilled, and 8 people, including Zhuang Zuoweimen, died. The village was also renamed as Ba Mu Village. In the 24th year of the Showa era, Terada Tatsuya (played by Kenichi Hagihara), who was serving as a plane navigator in Tokyo, suddenly learned that he was actually the child of the family of the prominent family of Hachima Village in Okayama Prefecture, led by the death of the head of the family, Doshima Tomomiya (played by Nanu Yamazaki). As the inheritor of the estate, Tatsuya was recalled to Hachima Village. However, this trip was destined to be extremely dangerous, as his maternal grandfather, Inoue Chouso (played by Kato Kaede), who welcomed him, was poisoned as soon as they met. Chen Mi learned about the origin of Ba Mu Village from the village population, and also learned that Zhuang Zuwei Gate was the ancestor of the Duozhi Jian family. Is the continuous occurrence of abnormal deaths a curse of warriors that has lasted for 400 years? Or is there another conspiracy afterwards? This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by detective novelist Yokomizu Masashi.
