Description
Plot Summary
In the Battle of Stalingrad, Vasily (played by Jude Law) was a sharpshooter in a powerful army. His excellent marksmanship hits every shot, leaving the enemy terrified. In order to boost morale and set an example, Vasily's comrade in arms, Soviet propaganda officer Danilov (played by Joseph Fiennes), extensively published Vasily's heroic deeds in newspapers, making Vasily's image even more prominent. However, the appearance of Tanya (played by Rachel Weisz) made Vasily and Danilov both infatuated with this confident female soldier. But Tania likes Vasily, which makes Danilov jealous. On the other hand, the German army sent their sniper Connie (played by Ed Harris) to counter Vasily, who was also a sharpshooter. On the battlefield shrouded in smoke, Vasily and Connie engaged in a battle of wits and courage.
