Plot Summary

In the 1990s, Sierra Leone in Africa was ravaged by continuous wars, and the illegal diamond trade became increasingly rampant. Archer (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) is a true war profiteer who makes a living by reselling war zone diamonds. While in prison, he accidentally learns that fisherman Solomon has top-quality pink diamonds in his hands. Realizing that this was his opportunity to leave Africa, after his release from prison, he found Solomon and prepared to work with him to find the diamond and leave Africa. Solomon was an ordinary fisherman who was forced to mine diamonds by rebels due to civil war and family separation.
