Plot Summary

Genius and madness are often just two descriptions of the same person. Detective Chen Jiabin (played by Liu Qingyun) is such a character, just like the genius painter Van Gogh, he once cut off his own ear. Despite solving numerous cases and possessing extraordinary detective abilities, he was eventually recognized by the public as a madman and retired from the police station early. Detective He Jia'an (played by An Zhijie) received a tricky case. The crime occurred in a forest. After two police officers, Wang Guozhu (played by Li Guolin) and Gao Zhiwei (played by Lin Jiadong), investigated the case, only Gao Zhiwei returned safely, while Wang Guozhu and his gun mysteriously disappeared.
