Plot Summary

Swedish doctor Anton (played by Mikael Persbrandt) works year-round in refugee camps in Sudan, facing the pain and death caused by armed violence every day; On vacation, he flew back to Denmark and took turns taking care of his two sons with his estranged wife Marian (played by Trine Dyrholm). The boy Christian (played by William Jhnk Nielsen) moved from London to Denmark, and his mother's passing caused him to feel estranged from his father. In his new school, he met Anton's eldest son Elias (played by Markus Rygaard), who was discriminated against and bullied by his classmates due to his Swedish identity. Christian teaches Elias to use violence against violence, and two boys from broken families become friends.
