Description
Plot Summary
In a small town often covered in snow, there is a dim and lonely apartment where the young Owen (Kodi Smit McPhee) and his divorced mother (Cara Buono) live. This delicate little boy is sensitive and timid, often bullied by others at school, while his mother is devout in religion and has no time to take care of him. Irving could only hide in his own small room, peering into the outside world through a telescope, or pretending to be a serial killer to release the repression and anger in his heart. One night, the beautiful and mysterious charming Abby (played by Chlo Grace Moretz) moves into the apartment and becomes Owen's neighbor. These two children, who share a unique temperament, are attracted to each other and gradually become good friends. At the same time, murders continue to occur in the small town, and Owen accidentally discovers an incredible secret about Abby... This film is adapted from John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel of the same name, and the Swedish version received high praise upon its release.
