Description

Plot Summary

At the loading and unloading area of Kwai Chung Port in Hong Kong, container truck driver Xu Chengliang (played by Louis Koo) and others are heading north to start their day's work. There is a small restaurant next to the Hong Kong Guangzhou Expressway, managed by a young couple named Zhang Qian (played by Yin Xiaotian) and Lu Yin (played by Huang Yi). Late at night, Zhang Qian rode his motorcycle home and received a call from Lu Yin on the way. He didn't pay attention to a high-speed container truck coming towards him, which knocked him and his car down. It turned out that the driver of the container truck was Cheng Liang. In the early morning, Zhang Qian declared himself dead. At this moment, Lu Yin discovered that she was pregnant, but her husband had passed away. She decided to give birth to the child and reopen the restaurant to continue her hard work and inherit her deceased husband's business. After more than a month, Cheng Liang finally gathered the courage to go into the restaurant managed by Lu Yin for a meal. With the understanding of his girlfriend Susan (played by Karen Mok), he occasionally took the initiative to help with the store's chores, and the two gradually became good friends. Later, Lu Yin discovered that Cheng Liang was the container driver who killed her husband. She angrily watched as Cheng Liang was severely injured by Zhang Jun, the younger brother of Zhang Qian... When Cheng Liang returned home to Hong Kong, Susan mocked him for asking for trouble. The two had a big argument, and Susan felt that Cheng Liang's heart had left her. Lu Yin gave birth in the hospital, and Cheng Liang learned that she had run to the hospital and was by her side. Lu Yin was moved, but she firmly believed that Cheng Liang was only responsible to her, not love. She ended the restaurant, took her son back to her hometown to start a new life, and asked Cheng Liang to return to her girlfriend's side. Cheng Liang tried to go back to his past life, but found that everything was no longer the same as before. He finally broke up with Susan and went back to China to search for what he believed in, but the restaurant had already closed and the phone number had been changed. China is so big, we have to go there to find Lu Yin
