Plot Summary

Adam, the Four Good Young Men (played by Joseph Gordon Levitt), had a fulfilling life, smooth work, and harmonious family. Unexpectedly, his back pain, which only occasionally troubled him, was diagnosed with cancer with a 50/50 cure rate. The impact of illness, the departure of his girlfriend Rachel (played by Bryce Dallas Howard), and his mother's sadness gradually make Adam, who was originally confident in facing illness, feel depressed and hopeless. Only his best friend Kyle (played by Seth Rogen) has been by his side in his unique way, never abandoning him. Catherine (played by Anna Kendrick) is an inexperienced psychologist who is responsible for Adam's emotional counseling. Despite appearing professional and calm, she is a mess in her life and relationships. Two disappointed people meet in the special environment of illness, and from the initial misunderstanding to reconciliation, they gradually feel that perhaps the most important thing in this world is right beside them. The film is adapted from the true experiences of screenwriter Will Rissel, and his friend who stood behind him and supported him at the time was Seth Rogen, who played Kyle.
