Plot Summary

German director Detlev Buck is also preparing a new film locally, bringing German author Daniel Kehlmann's "Measuring the World," which has topped the bestseller list of Der Spiegel magazine for 37 consecutive weeks, to the screen and using 3D technology for filming. When it comes to the commonalities between these two works, apart from being bestsellers, they both have intersecting life stories and exciting adventure stories. The protagonists of "Measuring the World" are two eccentric geniuses from late 18th century Germany, namely naturalist Humboldt and mathematician Gauss, who are conducting "measuring the world" in their own ways until their lives finally intersect. Daniel Kehlmann was only 30 years old when he wrote the book. The film "Measuring the World" and Michael Haneke's new work "Love" (starring Isabelle Huppert) have received funding from the Berlin Film Board this year. Currently, Detlev Buck is polishing the script, and the specific start time is uncertain. However, there is no doubt that it will become the largest 3D film produced in Germany so far.
