Plot Summary

This film won the Special Jury Prize at the 34th Yokohama Film Festival and the Best Animated Film Award at the 36th Japan Film Academy Awards. The female college student Hana (voiced by Aoi Miyazaki), who walks alone in this world, falls in love shortly after meeting her destined one (voiced by Takao Osawa). Not long after, she learned that her boyfriend's true identity was actually a werewolf, but even so, Hua's emotions towards her lover remained unwavering. The two of them depended on each other, nurturing the crystallization of love together. They were their daughter Xiaoxue, born on a snowy day, and their boy Xiaoyu, who came to the world on a rainy day. Snow is lively and active, full of curiosity about the world around them, while Rain is cowardly and timid, alert and delicate. They inherit their father's werewolf physique and can transform into wolves at will. Flowers and their families strictly guard this secret, living a happy life quietly in a corner of the bustling city. Until one day, bad news suddenly came. Father's life was taken away by death, and the heartbroken Hua secretly made up her mind to raise her children well no matter what identity they chose in the future (human or wolf). For this reason, she took her child away from the bustling but suffocating metropolis and moved to the beautiful and natural countryside to live. In the deep mountains and dense forests of the local area, Hua chose an ancient house with a history of over a hundred years. Snow immediately fell in love with this new home, but the shy rain could not adapt for a long time. Fortunately, the rarely visited mountains and forests give children great freedom. The siblings run freely in the snow covered mountains, freely changing the postures of humans and wolves, experiencing unprecedented happiness. Their mother watched their child's lively movements while diligently repairing their new home. After some effort, the lifeless old house was revitalized, and the new life of the mother and son began. But the current state of life has to make Hua furrow her brow. The savings left by her husband were decreasing, and in order to save expenses, she tried to be self-sufficient. She borrowed books on gardening and farming from the library to learn about farming. But no matter how hard she tried, the seedlings still withered time and time again. For this reason, she sought advice from her grandfather Jiuzaki (played by Fumita Sugawara) who lived in the village. Taking this as an opportunity, villagers began to frequently visit Hua's home, and the crops grew strong under the guidance and care of Grandpa Jiuqi. The mother and son, who originally moved into the deep mountains to avoid being noticed, unknowingly received meticulous care from the villagers, and a little gratitude surged in Hua's heart
