Plot Summary

The film is adapted from the story of a group of sharpshooters during the "Cold Gun and Cold Cannon" movement during the Korean War. From the winter of 1952 to the beginning of 1953, the Chinese People's Volunteer Army and the United Nations forces formed a stalemate on the Korean battlefield, and both sides launched low-intensity intensive sniper battles, known as the "Cold Gun and Cold Cannon Movement" in history. Under the leadership of the platoon leader (played by Zhang Yi), the soldiers of Sniper Class 5 have exceptional marksmanship and become a major concern for the enemy. The squad leader Liu Wenwu (played by Zhang Yu) has become a key target for sniping. In order to inflict heavy damage on Sniper Squad 5, the enemy deployed an elite sniper team equipped with the most advanced weapons and equipment, forcing Sniper Squad 5 soldiers such as Dayong (played by Chen Yongsheng) to enter the dangerous area they had set up to save their companions.
